Position Description:

The Grant Monitor position will monitor the implementation of grants and contracts to ensure that the policies and regulations of grantors and the DePelchin Children's Center are followed. The Grant Monitor is responsible for assuring that grant funded programs are in compliance with proposal/contract objectives. Key responsibilities include grant monitoring, reporting, data-related tasks and assistance with program development.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor funder and agency policies and requirements with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain up to date documentation and records appropriate for reporting all aspects of grant monitoring.
  • Complete data entry tasks accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Attend and/or conduct monthly meetings with grant program staff to provide feedback about grants and contracts.  Document meeting proceedings as required.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual data uploads as required by the funder and/or the Agency.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating site/monitoring visits.
  • Write handbooks/manuals required by the grant/contractor.
  • Assist with renewal proposals for grants and contracts currently assigned.
  • Alert the project manager and/or evaluator to grant monitoring problems. 
  • Design and maintain databases using relevant software (e.g., SPSS, Teleform, Excel, or Access)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or be actively enrolled in a college/university at the senior level (High School Diploma required if no formal degree)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months experience working in a social service capacity/setting highly desirable.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to provide effective communication regarding grant status.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Work Conditions:

  • Environment: Hybrid: Office, Remote
  • Range of Schedule:  Mon – Fri, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
  • Travel: None
