Technical Trainer and Usability Specialist
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Director, Information Systems

Position Description:
The Technical Trainer & Usability Specialist is responsible for both the development of comprehensive training programs, as well as the delivery of the programs. The objective of these training initiatives is to improve operational efficiency and the productivity of the workforce by implementing automated processes and integrating existing and new software applications into business processes. The Technical Trainer & Usability Specialist will also assist in the evaluation and implementation of technology utilization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver training programs for software applications.
- Monitor services delivered for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide presentations and conduct public speaking both internally and externally to promote the organization's mission, vision, philosophy, and values.
- Research, assess, and make recommendations on training curriculum.
- Coordinate with the agency’s training department to provide required and desired training for staff and community.
- Perform system configuration and assist with the implementation of upgrades and new applications.
- Resolve customer problems with software and respond to requested improvements and enhancements.
- Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth.
- Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Business Administration, Education, or related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Two (2) years’ experience providing software training with demonstrated capability of developing and presenting training materials.
- Experience providing first-level support of business applications.
- Experience in social services or healthcare preferred.
- Business analysis experience a plus.
- Proficiency in using software applications and technology.
- Advanced computer software and hardware knowledge and skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot a variety of computer problems.
- Ability to Interact with staff with a service orientation.
- Ability to stay organized while executing multiple projects.
- Ability to maintain professional, confidential work environment.
- Environment: Office-based - Required to work onsite.
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
