Team Lead
DEPARTMENT: Counseling and Family Services
REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator or Program Manager
SUPERVISES: Family and Youth Support Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Team Lead will work with the Program Coordinator and Program Manager to support a team of staff who provide curriculum based services to children and their families and determine the Team Lead’s case load which may vary depending on program needs. The Team Lead will also facilitate supervision of staff, documentation oversight, training, consultation, and assistance with weekly and monthly reporting checks as well as support the training and motivation of program staff as they manage questions, concerns, and provide support for families.
POSITION SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- Provide guidance, routine supervision, and some oversight to specialists, and other staff as assigned, insuring the provision of quality services.
- Provide input to the Program Coordinator to help responsibly assess job performance of direct reports at least annually.
- Work with the Program Coordinator to assist with talent management (hiring, training, and retaining quality staff).
- Assure compliance with all agency policies/procedures, COA Accreditation Standards, and all applicable licensing standards.
- Ensure the educational/training needs of staff are being met.
- Provide intake and assessment activities that will assist clients and their family in determining which services are most appropriate for them in developing an individualized service /treatment plan.
- Utilizing client and family input, develop a plan of service that selects and outlines an array of services and interventions from within DePelchin and the community that will address the needs formulated in the assessment process.
- Assist clients with referrals to other community services identified in the plan of service and provide advocacy for individual clients and their families to receive entitlements or needed services.
- Maintain current records, meeting all recording requirements of the agency.
- Maintain monthly statistics and data needed for program accountability and billing for client services.
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum one (1) year’s related experience preferred.
- Experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare preferred
- Environment: Office, Community, Hybrid
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., occasional nights, or weekends
- Travel: Frequent
