Position Description:
The Manager, Information Systems works with the Vice President and the Manager of Information Technology to meet the application system and software solution requirements of the agency.  This goal is accomplished through evaluation and implementation of packaged and off-the-shelf applications as well as project management of internal and external resources for custom-built software.  The Manager, Information Systems will also support and enhance the utilization of all existing software applications used throughout the organization.  The position will also oversee staff responsible for database reporting and IT training.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Proactively learn software applications to enhance current utilization and manage relationship with vendors to provide support and problem-solving for user issues.
  2. Work with outside vendors and internal staff to support and manage implementation of commercial software applications.
  3. Provide project management support for internal and external resources for commercial and custom software products including requirements definition, Quality Assurance (QA)/testing, implementation, documentation and training.
  4. Coordinate relationship with vendors, consulting firms and other individuals as necessary for continued development and support of new and existing custom software applications.
  5. Evaluate and prepare documentation for current business processes and organizational structures to meet technical and functional specifications of potential new software applications.
  6. Research and identify possible software and technical solutions that can be integrated into existing application framework to increase productivity and meet business needs.
  7. Manage reporting of data including creation of standardized reports for internal and external presentations across the Agency and development of tools for efficient utilization of data in management of programs and services.
  8. Responsible for oversight of data integrity across software applications.
  9. Manage training for internal staff on desktop productivity software as well as Agency wide applications and other technology tools.
  10. Proactively continued technical training in latest technology.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or Business Management.
  • Three (3) experience with implementing and/or developing information systems and software solutions utilizing the software development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years of management experience.
  • Experience supporting and/or using medical billing software, electronic medical records or other health care applications a plus.
  • Experience with MS SQL, .Net development, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced computer software and hardware knowledge and skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot a variety of computer problems
  • Ability to Interact with staff with a service orientation.
  • Ability to stay organized while executing multiple projects.
  • Ability to maintain professional, confidential work environment.
Work Conditions:
  • Environment: Hybrid - Office
  • Range of Schedule:  Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Travel: None
