Position Description:

The Compliance Specialist serves all agency accreditation and compliance initiatives as well as grant-funded projects. Major responsibilities include data processing, data analysis, contract monitoring, producing reports and assisting with compliance monitoring initiatives, and agency accreditation. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Compile, analyze and report Program Evaluation initiatives and indicators for the all-agency child welfare programs as assigned.
  • Meet regularly with program staff to identify data sources which record programmatic and evaluation data and assists in the design/creation of monitoring plans to track performance.
  • Prepare monthly analysis and report on quality improvement and performance indicators and present to child welfare and residential program departments.
  • Secures, compiles, and reports documentation on sub-contractors for Foster Care and Residential Services.  Gathers subcontracting information, maintains database with all required information.
  • Coordinates record reviews. Secures random sample, provides list of files to be reviewed to program staff, participates in the actual review of files, analyses record review results and prepares report for the Program and the Quality Improvement Committee.
  • Secures and compiles all data required to complete required TDFPS Outcomes reporting for the Residential Services Program.
  • Secures and compiles all data required to complete Residential Child Care Licensing (RCCL) reporting requirement for Emergency Behavioral Interventions
  • Works on grants and contracts as assigned.
  • Maintain up to date documentation, records, and databases appropriate for reporting all aspects of grant monitoring.
  • Provide administrative support to department.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience working in social service capacity/setting.

Experience/Skills Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of data, contract compliance, and evaluation processes preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of non-profit services and programs.
  • Possess persuasive, clear, and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.

Work conditions:

  • Environment: Hybrid 
  • Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Travel: Occasional (Must have valid Texas Driver License and current Auto Insurance)
